Yukon

From land run beginnings to a country music superstar.

Our story is Oklahoma’s story.

After the Land Run of 1889, landmark grain elevators rose to store the abundance and a transformational mill crowned the community of Yukon. At one of the peaks of production, these mills could process over one ton of grain daily. In the mid 1960s, Oklahoma City’s massive population growth bled into Yukon, giving the city an influx of commuters and new investment. One of Yukon’s famous former residents, Garth Brooks, brought attention to this centrally located city that continues to grow and thrive.
