Grove

Living the grand life.

Our story is Oklahoma’s story.

Named for a grove of trees on a long-used trail, Grove was the county seat of Delaware County until the courthouse was moved to Jay in 1910. Like many parts of Oklahoma, the Great Depression devastated the area, but in the late 1930s new hope arrived with plans to build a dam across the Grand River. Heavy rains filled the lake quickly, and Grove emerged with water on three sides and a bright future as a retirement and resort mecca on the Grand Lake O’ The Cherokees.
