As a descendant of Napoleon Bonaparte, F.C. Bonfils was a colorful con man who made a name for himself by the age of 28 for running a bogus lottery scam in Missouri. On the run, he headed for Oklahoma Territory to take part in the Land Run of 1889. After staking his claim in Guthrie he had one thing on his mind: money.
